Lichtenstein,Christopher - Mitteldeutsche Orgelromantik

The programme recorded here is based primarily on the Central German provenance of the organ and its builder ConradGei�ler and the existing technical capabilities of the instrument. The selected composers form, as it were, a cross-sectionof Central German culture of the mid-19th century. With the selected works � variations and sonatas, which are captivatingin particular due to their tonal variety �, organist Christopher Lichtenstein�s intention is to emphasise the organ�s versatilityand richness of colour in a special way.
