Athena trio sees classical sopranos Gwawr Edwards, Sioned Terry and Ellen Williams come together in harmonious union - three sought after Welsh artists who came together one evening in concert and formed Athena. To celebrate a year together as a trio, Athena are pleased to announce their debut album 'Encore' on the Sain label, . A mixture of popular classical pieces, contemporary melodies and Welsh favourites with some original arrangements put together by the girls themselves, the recording will surely offer something special to cater to everyone's tastes and will appeal to a broad range of listeners. Featured as special guest on the album is Welsh baritone Steffan Lloyd Owen, he joins Athena on 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. Athena have performed all over the UK during the last year, from functions such as the Football Association of Wales awards evening at Hensol Castle to concerts at concert venues and theatres.
