Rudolf Schock used his popularity for classical songs and this 2CD set comes from performances from 1957 and 1959.He can claim to have also filled concert halls with such listeners, who were able to experience a classical song programme for the first time. RELIEF publishes here the eight orchestral songs of Strauss, Schumann's Dichterliebe and two programmes of selected songs recorded in 1957.
