One of the Ruhr Piano Festival�s firmest commitments is to provide a podium to young, promising talents in particular. That is why weinvite a great number of young pianists to perform in each edition of the Festival � for instance, in our series �Die Besten der Besten�. Evenso, we want to think further by offering these young musicians long-term support: for example, we can make a decisive contribution totheir careers by featuring them in our CD series Edition Klavier-Festival Ruhr. This is the eighth year in a row that we are presenting aflorilegium of concert recordings we find particularly impressive. The pianists presented here are certainly among the most interesting oftheir generation; several of them have won famous international competitions.
