Amo non amo (I love you I love you not), the Italiandrama film directed by Armenia Balducci in 1979, wasan ambitious work at the time, with an exceptionalimported cast, including Jaqueline Bisset, MaximillianSchell and Terence Stamp . The copies of the filmsdistributed overseas were accompanied by theorchestral score written by Burt Bacharach, while theoriginal soundtrack was composed, unexpectedly, byGoblin. The compositions of Amo non amo are varied, alternating melancholy and intimate pieces with hardrock and funky songs, but retaining the unmistakableGoblin touch thanks to the presence of the classicClaudio Simonetti, Fabio Pignatelli, Agostino Marangolo, assisted by talented Carlo Pennisi (formerly of Flea,Etna, Libra and then in New Perigeo) on guitar andAntonio Marangolos saxophone, a regular collaboratorof the band. This edition edited by AMS Records sees the Amo nonamo OST published in its entirety on vinyl. Among thenew pieces, in addition to the film version of the mainissues, we have a short but wonderful Amo non amo(alternate tensive film version) and Amo non amo(Notte alternate mix): the latter is an entirelyinstrumental and remixed version of Notte, which wasoriginally inserted in Il fantastico viaggio del BagarozzoMark. To finally make this a unique publication we have a newcover artwork especially made for this release by theGenoese graphic studio Giant's Lab, and exclusivecontributions on biographical and record information bytwo of the greatest experts of the Goblin matter, FabioCapuzzo and Roberto Attanasio.
