Countess Mariza, one of Emmerich Kalman�s most celebrated works, was first to huge acclaim in 1924 at the Theater an der Wien. It has since been performed countless times all over the world, and is well known to Opera fans and Musicals enthusiasts alike, although it has been lacking in a satisfactory recording until now. The Seefestspiele M�rbisch 2004 celebrated the 80th �birthday� of this operetta with a brilliant performance, thus cementing their reputation as producers of the best operetta in Europe.
