Nancy Kerr & James Fagan - Twice Reflected Sun

Former BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners and established favourites of the international folk scene, the Anglo-Australian duo present their 5th release as a duo but first album of all-original material.Kerr and Fagan have wowed folk audiences around the world since forming in 1995, touring constantly in the British Isles and taking their sought-after sound to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Eire and the Benelux. In 2000 they won the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Newcomers, followed in 2003 by the Best Duo award. The two trade lead vocals throughout Twice Reflected Sun to bring their new material to life, presenting songs that, much like James and Nancy, have roots in the soils of two wildly different landscapes, but which trade on universal themes that transcend national boundaries: love, war, migration, poverty and the future of the Earth. Among a plethora of extra-curricular collaborative projects, Nancy Kerr previously made two albums as a duo with Eliza Carthy while James Fagan plays as part of the Cara Dillon Band and is a recent addition to UK folk heavyweights Faustus. Together they have also recorded with many artists including Martin Simpson and Robert Harbron.Twice Reflected Sun will be previewed at Sidmouth Folk Festival in August 2010.
