Jean Muller's debut recording presents a programme exploring Liszt's fascination with the myth of Faust. His Mephisto Waltz No.1 was influenced by the Faust of Austrian poet Lenau, whilst the completion of his 12 Transcendental �tudes in 1852 represented the achievement of over a quarter of a century of personal philosophical quest and musical and pianistic research.
