nner at the Busoni, German Chopin and Schubert competitions, Caroline Weichert's double victory at the 'Young Artists' Concerts' competition, organized by the German Musikrat, was decisive in launching her career. She has appeared regularly as a soloist with orchestras such as the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie and the Telekom- Orchester, and has given numerous recitals and chamber music concerts, showing a particular affinity for lesser known repertoire. She received a Discobole award from the Academie du Disque Francais for her recording debut featuring works by Shostakovich in 2007.
