The appeal of Mozart's music in this collection has reached universal status: the C major Piano Concerto, Exsultate, jubilate and G minor Symphony all entered popular musical consciousness in the twentieth century. The concerto is sometimes referred to as 'Elvira Madigan' from its use in the 1967 film of the same name; the Motet appeared in the 1937 Hollywood film '100 Men and a Girl' (sung by Deanna Durbin), and 'Mozart 40' was a pop music hit for Waldo de los Rios in the 1960s - and again as recently as 2010 when it reached No 1 in the Amazon singles chart.
