Individually, with nine albums to date between them, they have performed in festivals, concerts, clubs, TV and radio throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, and overeseas. In the 1980's The Ideal Band was one of Scotland's most successful and respected Celtic folk bands, following in the footsteps of Glasgow's Bob Smith's Ideal Band of the 1930's. The new line up brings a whole new unique sound and exciting approach to the world of Celtic music, blending Ken Campbell's essentially Scottish songs with the very best of musicianship.
