For generations of piano students, the little music book for Anna Magdalena Bach gave them their first taste of success, but it is not a musical poetry album, rather a unique document of music-making in the Bach household.

James Maddox has recorded the 1725 music book in its entirety for the first time on a modern grand piano.

Ingrid Schmithusen takes over the vocal part in the vocal pieces.
