This is the CD recording of Lalo's three-act opera, Le Roi d'Ys, the sole recording in recent times. Dynamic released the DVD in 2009 which was praised by The Penguin Guide as an excellent example of a neglected opera, superbly presented and thoroughly recommendable. BBC Music Magazine gave the DVD 4 stars, saying altogether a fascinating relic.
