Blue Heron Choir/Metcalfe - Ludford:Missa Inclina Cor

Volume 3 of Music from the Peterhouse Partbooks is the world premiere recording of all the music on it, with major works of Nicholas Ludford (c.1490-1557), and John Mason (c.1480-1548). Ludford's Mass setting is mysterious and enchanting. The offering from Mason is a votive antiphon addressed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and it opens the disc in an unforgettable way. The recording is part of a 5-CD project under way since 2010.
