Akihiro Sakiya - Piano Recital

The young Japanese soloist Akihiro Sakiya, winner of the 56th Ja�n International Piano competition in three categories-Solo, Audience and Spanish Music-has constructed a programme that includes Brahms's Piano Sonata No. 3, one of the great sonatas of its time, Debussy's evocative Estampes and a Spanish classic by Granados. Written as test pieces for the Ja�n competition, the two contemporary Spanish works draw on rich folkloric traditions.
