Andr?�s Segovia was entirely self-taught, playing his first public recital at the age of 14. He is credited with elevating the guitar from a folk instrument to the highest levels of the international concert stage. This retrospective of recordings from 1946 and 1949 showcases the maestro's incomparable artistry in a musical panorama ranging from Bach through masters of the 19th and 20th centuries.
