Tammuz Piano Quartet - Enescu: Piano Quartets Nos.1/ 2

The Piano Quartets, alongside the String Quartets are some of Romanian composer, George Enescu's most important chamber works. The First Piano Quartet is a composition of epic proportion. Critics have compared it to the late music of Gabriel Faure. The style of the Second Piano Quartet is far more refined, intricate and mysterious than that of the First. Both Quartets are presented here in masterly performances by the Tammuz Piano Quartet.
